Today is where a signed-in reader lands: what came in since your last visit, in the states you follow, newest first. With nothing narrowed it groups by county — a single state can file a hundred permits a day — and drops to individual pads once you turn on a watch.

A divider marks what is new since you were last here. A free account sees the same feed, delayed, with county-level counts standing in for operator names above that line — see Pricing for exactly how the two compare.

Explore is the table and the map, driven by one filter — state, county, operator, status, trajectory, depth and dates — carried in the URL, so a filtered link works the same in either view and is safe to share. Clicking a point on the map opens that permit in a side drawer without leaving the page.

“Watch this” in the filter rail saves whatever you have filtered as a watch, without re-entering it. Pro removes the free view’s row limit and delay and can export the filtered result as a CSV; see Pricing for the specifics.

Every permit has its own page — state, status, kind, the well, operator and county as links, the event date and who reported it. From there you can call the operator (Pro), copy a text block with the permit’s details, share the page link, or save the permit for later — saving works on a free account too.

A hidden permit — pending, or issued inside the free delay — shows a page that names the reasons it might be hidden without confirming which one applies, and offers sign-in or an upgrade rather than a dead end.

A watch is a saved search: pick an operator, a county or parish, or save one straight from Explore, and the Watches page shows each one’s recent activity alongside the rest. A free account can keep a handful of watches; email alerts when one matches, and the daily digest that bundles them, are Pro.

Anything you have starred — from a permit page, the table, or the map — appears below your watches as a saved list, whether or not it belongs to a watch.

Billing, email alerts, and theme all live in the account menu under your avatar. Billing opens the Stripe portal for invoices, payment methods, and cancellation; turning off email alerts there pauses them without touching your watches.
