Common questions

Is there a trial?
There is no time-limited trial, and no card to start. The free plan does not expire: every issued permit in all four states, at least 7 days after it is issued. Pro is what adds each permit the day it appears in the state's register, the operator's phone, alerts on every watch, and export.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the billing portal. Access runs to the end of the month or year you paid for, and nothing renews after that.
Where does the data come from?
Straight from each regulator: the Texas Railroad Commission, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division and the Louisiana Department of Energy and Natural Resources (SONRIS). Operator phones come from the RRC's P-5 file and the NM OGRID registry; Oklahoma publishes an address only, Louisiana the name only.
What counts as a watch?
A county or parish, an operator, a circle up to 100 miles, or a shape you draw; also a whole state, or any search you save from Explore. Free accounts can save 5. On the free plan, your oldest county, operator, radius or drawn area watch emails you, 7 days after a permit is issued. Pro emails every watch the day it appears in the state's register. Pro also gets the daily digest.
How precise can a drawn area be?
A circle can be any radius up to 100 miles around a point you pick. A shape can have up to 64 points, so you can trace a basin edge, a lease block or a crew's drive time rather than settling for the county it sits in. Drawn areas are not bound to one state: a circle straddling the Texas and New Mexico line returns permits from both sides, because all four states are one register.
