1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Well-Intel, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
Well-Intel provides drilling permit data for Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana, sourced from the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division (OCD) and the Louisiana Department of Energy and Natural Resources (SONRIS). The data is updated automatically from those regulators’ public records.
3. Subscription and Billing
Well-Intel has a free plan and a Pro plan at $49 per month or $399 per year, billed in advance through Stripe. There is no trial period; the free plan is not time-limited. You may cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Well-Intel only for lawful business purposes. You may not share your account credentials, resell access to the platform, or use automated tools to scrape or extract data in bulk without written permission. Connecting an AI assistant under section 5 is permitted, on the terms of that section.
5. Connecting an AI Assistant
You can connect an AI assistant that supports connectors, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to Well-Intel, on the free plan or on Pro. On the free plan, your AI assistant sees issued permits 7 days after issue, with no pending permits and no operator contacts.
What it can do. The assistant signs in with your Well-Intel account through a consent screen you approve. It can look up permit records, a permit’s status history, counts of permits by operator and county, and on Pro operator contact details where the state publishes them. It cannot read or change your watches, alerts or account. If your Pro subscription ends, it continues on the free plan’s terms.
Turning access off. Turning off assistant access on the Connect page blocks every connected assistant within a minute. Turning it back on restores the ones you connected before. To remove one for good, also remove Well-Intel in that assistant’s settings.
Limits. Use through an assistant is subject to limits, shown in Help, which we may change.
Your own use. Assistant access is for your own use. You may not resell or redistribute data obtained through it, share your connection with other people or a shared or team assistant, or use several accounts to get around the limits. For bulk data, use the CSV export.
Other companies’ services. The assistant is provided by another company, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, under that company’s own terms and privacy policy, not ours. Your questions, and the permit data Well-Intel returns, pass through that company’s service. Well-Intel is not responsible for how the assistant handles them.
Its answers are its own. The assistant writes its answers from the data Well-Intel returns. It can miscount, summarise wrongly, or say things the data does not support. Well-Intel’s register is the record: check any figure that matters against Well-Intel itself. Section 6 applies.
What we record. For each call we record your account, the time, the tool used, how many rows it returned, how long it took, whether it succeeded, how the assistant signed in, and the plan it ran on. We keep these records for 90 days. For the account, we also record when it first used an assistant, whether it was created through one, and when it first subscribed, for as long as the account exists. We use the search details the assistant sends to answer it, and don’t keep them.
6. Data Accuracy
Well-Intel sources its data directly from the state regulators named in section 2. While we strive to keep data current and accurate, we make no warranties regarding the completeness or accuracy of the data. Users should independently verify critical business decisions.
7. Limitation of Liability
Well-Intel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
